My very own honey pie
manifest with roasted pecans, dark chocolate honesty, and beautiful vanilla essence
Ingredients
cup honey
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup pecans, lightly toasted
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 (9-inch) unbaked store-bought refrigerated pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Bring the honey to a boil in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Remove from the heat and let cool for about 2 minutes.
- Whisk together the eggs, butter, and vanilla. Gradually whisk in the warm honey, followed by the pecans, chocolate, and nutmeg.
- Unroll the pie crust and lay in a 9-inch pie plate. Pour the mixture into the pie shell. Bake until the top is golden brown and the center is set, about 25 minutes.
